Looking for a great opportunity to get more involved in your local chapter? Consider nominating yourself for a board position. Each Spring/Summer, the Baton Rouge- Lafayette chapter holds elections for all board positions. Nomination forms are typically sent out in April and elections are held at the May chapter meeting. Transitions occur through June and July.
See below for all of our position descriptions:
President: Presides at all meetings of the Board of Directors and of the members; appoints the chairpersons of all Standing Committees with the approval of the Board of Directors; appoints all Special Committees; acts as an ex-officio member of all committees; and submits reports as required by ARMA Intl.
Vice President: Acts as an aide to the President; performs the duties of the President in their absence; and communicates the nominations for elections to the Chapter membership.
Secretary: Records the minutes of all meetings of the Board of Directors and the membership; preserves all books and records of the Chapter; and conducts the official correspondence of the chapter.
Treasurer: Maintains custody of the funds of the chapter; keeps account of receipts and expenditures; makes disbursements; presents a report at all Board and Chapter meetings; prepares an annual report; and submits reports as required to ARMA Intl.
Directors: Assists the executive members of the board in the execution of their duties.
Note: There are two director positions that, in lieu of other priorities as set by the board, are responsible for programming or membership activities.
