While ARMA can connect you to information professionals across the globe, our chapter is a direct line to your local community of practitioners. At our sessions in Baton Rouge, we discuss current events and topics that directly impact us here in Louisiana, and provide opportunities to connect with Louisiana-based industry peers.

How to Join

In order to join our chapter, you’ll need to sign up to be a part of ARMA International. Here’s a walkthrough of how to join:

1. Go to Join ARMA >> Sign Up.
   • If you are a current practitioner, sign up for a Professional Membership.
   • If you are a retiree or industry partner, sign up for the Associate Membership.
   • For Student Memberships, see below for discount membership information.
2. Fill out the form to create an account.
3. In ARMA Member Portal >> ARMA Store >> Add a Membership
   • Membership Type: select either Professional or Associate >> Next
   • You will see International Professional Membership $210.00. >> Review & Check Out.
   • In the Chapter Selection page >> find Chapter: Baton Rouge/Lafayette Chapter >> Add to Cart >> Review & Checkout.
   • Make sure that both the International and Chapter memberships are displayed in your cart >> Checkout.
4. Complete your payment.

Already an ARMA member?

Go to the Add a Membership page and select the Baton Rouge-Lafayette Chapter >> add to cart >> check out.

Membership Discounts for Students

Because students are a vital part of our community, ARMA offers a discounted membership rate:

1. Go to https://arma.org/joinasastudent >> Join Now
2. Enter your information.
3. Select Baton Rouge-Lafayette Chapter from the Chapter List >> Add to Cart
   • Note: If you’d like to be added to our chapter for free, skip this step and email [email protected] to request to be added manually.
4. Complete your payment.

That’s it! You will receive email notifications to the email address you registered with. These will have chapter news, invitations to monthly meetings and events, and other communications.
