Wendy McLain, MLIS, CRM is a veteran Records and Information Management (RIM) and Information Governance (IG) leader with more than 30 years of experience across government, healthcare, engineering, and energy sectors. A strong believer in giving back to the profession, she has served on the Boards of Directors of both ICRM and ARMA International, including terms as President of each organization.
In 2024, Wendy returned to Baton Rouge, trading H-E-B and Texas tortillas for LSU tailgates and gumbo, and joined LSU’s School of Information Studies as an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice. She coordinates the Graduate Certificate in Records & Information Management (CRIM) program and enjoys helping students discover that records management is much more interesting than it sounds. When she travels, one of her goals is to take selfies with libraries, archives, and records information institutions around the world.
